The highest tide of the year made for an impromptu High Tide Party
Not that we were too worried that the tide would breach the front door, as it has only done so once in the past Century when a way above average High Spring Tide combined with a strong Easterly gale (very rare) to produce the right conditions for the tide to breech the front door.
This year the tide came as far as the lower step and then receeded quite quickly.

Cars can still drive along the road as it's just over a foot deep at the highest point, that said always amusing to see people turn around, or deliberate for a while as to whether to proceed.
