When you feel you need to go back to the real world, there are numerous places of interest and activities.

To name but a few

The Eden Project

The National Maritime Museum

The Flambards Theme Park

Roskillys Ice Cream & Organic Farm

The National Seal Sanctuary

The Poldark Mine Experience

The Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station Experience

Lands End Theme Park

In addition to the above we are blessed with an almost Mediterranean-like climate here on the south coast of Cornwall.

In particular the Helford Estuary is well known for its sub-tropical climate and the internationally renowned gardens of Trebah Gardens and Glendurgan Gardens are within 1 mile.

Flights to the fabulous Scilly Isles can be arranged from Penzance Heliport, Lands End Airport or Newquay Cornwall Airport or cruise there on the Scillonian that sails from Penzance Quay.

For the more energetic there are numerous sandy beaches and coves to explore. Plus There is a superb local network of footpaths including the stunning South West Coast Path National Trail.

See below two routes taken by some mad runners that recently stayed at Carne Mill. The good news is that there is no need to "run" them!

Carne - Treglossick - Porthallow - Nare Head - Gillan - St Anthony 5mls

Carne - Manaccan - Helford - Helford River - St Anthony 6.75mls
